The present invention provides an air blocking device for a vacuum self-priming pump formed to smoothen initialization after pumping a fluid and to facilitate rework. The air blocking device for the vacuum self-priming pump includes: a pipe body (20) with an outlet (21) connected to an air discharge pipe (5) and an inlet connected to an entry of a pump chamber (3); a buoy (30) capable of being moved in a vertical direction inside the pipe body (20) by the fluid and buoyancy; and an opening member (40) opening and closing an end of the air discharge pipe (5). The opening member (40) includes: an opening plate (41) of which a top surface closes the end of the air discharge pipe (5) by adhering to the end of the air discharge pipe (5) and having an extension rod (412) at the bottom, wherein the extension rod (412) is extended downward and a through-hole (411) penetrates through the center of the extension rod (412) in a vertical direction; a fixated body (43) arranged between the outlet (21) of the pipe body (20) and the air discharge pipe (5) and having an internal fixated pipe (42) with a through-hole (422) fixated and penetrated through to allow a lower part of the extension rod (412) to be positioned inside the pipe body (20); and an opening pin (45) closing the through-hole (411) and having a lower part connected to an upper part of the buoy (30) and an upper part inserted and fixated to move in a vertical direction inside a connection pipe (44) coupled to the lower part of the extension rod (412).
