PURPOSE:To obtain a recording device where the damage of edge parts of sheets of paper is prevented and the reduction of the life of a photosensitive drum is prevented effectively, by making a horizontal reference position of a form feeding device variable to vary the position of a form which is brought into contact with the photosensitive drum. CONSTITUTION:A motor 66 is attached onto a bracket 65 provided on a side plate 60, and the left end of the output shaft of the motor 66 is connected to a feed screw 68 through a coupling 67, and the right end of the output shaft is connected to an encoder 69. L-shaped metallic parts 76 are fixed to the right end of a form feeding device 63, and a striker 77 joined attachably and detachably to a catcher 74 is fixed onto L-shaped metallic parts 76. Since the form feeding device 63 is connected to a form feed positioning device 64 in the part of the catcher 74, the form feeding device 63 is positioned in the horizontal direction when the motor 66 is driven to move the catcher 74. A microswitch 78 is attached to the inside of a bracket 80 and detects the position of a moving plate 71 to detect the home position of the catcher 74. |
