The invention relates essentially to a device, namely a pivoting flap, which is provided in the coin channel of, for example, a vending machine and which ensures that coins which are valid, that is to say are in circulation, and which embody a particular value pass into the so-called acceptance shaft of the vending machine, whereas invalid or counterfeit coins or coins of other currencies, forgeries and worthless discs are rejected, that is to say are transferred into the rejection shaft of the vending machine. For this, according to the invention, the pivoting flap controlling the coin path can be actuated by an electromagnet which is connected to the test electronics of the vending machine.
