PURPOSE:To obtain the captioned device with a light weight, high strength, and low cost by crushing both ends of a hollow pipe and forming it into the fitting section to a cover belt link. CONSTITUTION:Both the right and left ends of a square pipe 11 are turned toward the other side from the side of a contact surface 12 to the ground and are crushed flat so that hollow rising sections 13 and 13 can be left behind at both side edges in the forward and backward direction of a car body. This crushed section is formed into the fitting section 14 to a cover belt link 15. The manufacture of a cover plate 18 is obtained by cutting the hollow square pipe 11 into a specified length and press-working both ends. In this case, the press work for crushing, bolt hole work 16, and the perforation of a through hole 17 can simultaneously be performed. Besides, since this crushed section forms a double wall, the cover plate with high strength can be obtained. |
