The present invention pertains to a lithium-ion secondary cell provided with: an electrode element that includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator; and an electrolyte, wherein the lithium-ion secondary cell is characterized in that the separator has a shrinkage when heat-treated at 90°C for six hours of 2% or less, and the physisorbed water content of the electrode element is 2% by mass or less, or the lithium-ion secondary cell is characterized in that the chemisorbed water content of the positive-electrode active-material layer of the positive electrode is 1% by mass or less.
