PURPOSE:To process an image with variable power automatically so that a recorded image is formed at prescribed size, by storing all data in an original image in an image memory, discriminating the size of the original from the stored contents and setting up its variable power magnification in accordance with the size of recording paper. CONSTITUTION:The image memory stores the whole image information of the original sent from a CCD image sensor. The size of the recording paper is detected by plural photosensors, the original is scanned and read out by the 1st optical scanning system consisting of lighting lamps 3, 4, a mirror 5, a lens 7, an image sensor 8 and an electric output is stored in the image memory. The data in the image memory are read out to discriminate the size of the original image and the variable power magnification is set up in accordance with the size of the original image and recording paper. Subsequently, the data stored in the image memory are read out, an optical signal modulated by the data is applied to the 2nd optical system consisting of a laser oscillator 9, a modulator 10, a rotary encoder 13, etc. to control copying at the prescribed variable power magnification. |
