PURPOSE:To move a pickup arm smoothly in a low speed when it falls to the surface of a record and rises from the surface of the record, by utilizing the moment of inertia of a rotating body. CONSTITUTION:The rotation of a lift plate 8 is transmitted to a flywheel 17b, which has the same center as a small gear 17a provided for the purpose of increasing the moment of inertia of the whole, through a system constituted with gears 14-17a by the first gear 14 having the same rotation center as the lift plate 8. The moment of inertia of the whole of the system is increased in this manner to make it possible to make the rotation of the lift plate 8 low-speed. That is, the arm is allowed to fall and rise gently without oil by the moment of inertia of the rotating body, thereby preventing the motion of the arm from being varied by temperature. |
