发明名称 LOW PRESSURE CASTING METHOD OF HIGH SILICON ALUMINUM ALLOY
摘要 PURPOSE:To perform low pressure casting of a high silicon Al alloy having high abrasion resistance, etc. by forming beforehand a coating layer consisting of a phosphorus compd. and sodium silicate or the like on the die surfaces of segmental dies forming a cavity. CONSTITUTION:A coating layer consisting of a phosphorus compd. such as red phosphorus or the like, sodium silicate or a mixture thereof is formed to about 0.05-0.1mm. thickness on the die surfaces which form the cavity of casting dies consisting of segmental dies. The melt of a high silicon Al alloy contg. >=15% silicon is packed in the cavity by gravity or centrifugal force and is cast by a low pressure to solidify. The cooling of the casting surface is retarded by the coating layer formed on the die surface, and the crystallization of primary crystal silicon is accelerated on and near the surface layer of the casting.
