PURPOSE:To effectively make a large diameter gap waterproof by a simple and inexpensive means, by a method wherein an air curtain is provided along the entire circumference of a labyrinth part by utilizing a diffusive property of air, thereby making it waterproof. CONSTITUTION:A thin circular disk 9 provided with a plurality of elliptic holes which are in a segment form and in a prolong skew slit form along the circumference is produced, and is internally fixed by a screw 4 so as to plug up an angular groove. Compressed air is ejected from a quick joint 5 through the disk 9, the pressure is regulated by a regulator 7, and the pressure value is read on a meter 8 fitted to a manifold 6. Accordingly, in a mechanism rotating continuously at a high speed, an air curtain capable of sufficiently resisting to a negative pressure can be formed at the entire part of a gap at the inside circumference. |
