<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a discriminating error, by providing a means which generates a strobe signal when a card is completely put into a card reader, then reading the card when the signal sent from a magnet part and the strobe signal are obtained together. CONSTITUTION:A recess part 13 into which a card 2 is inserted and the 2nd recess part 14 linked to the part 13 are provided to a housing 12 of a card reader 11. A lever 15 which can turn round a pin 16 and is energized clockwise with a spring 18 is provided at a part 14. Then the card 2 touches an edge part 15a having a small arm ratio, and the lever 15 is turned counterclockwise as the card 2 advances. A magnet 17 is attached at an edge part 15b having a large arm ratio, and the part 15b moves faster than the part 15a to approach to a magneto-electric transducer 19. A magnet 3 of the card 2 is faced exactly to a magneto-electric transducer 6 when the insertion of the card 2 is over. At the same time, the magnet 17 is also faced exactly to the transducer 19. The card 2 is discriminated when the outputs of both transducers 6 and 19 are obtained together. This can prevent the misreading due to the defective insertion of the card.</p> |
