NEW MATERIAL:A compound of the formula (Ar is aryl). EXAMPLE:1-Phenyl-2,3-dichloro-2-methylpropane. USE:A raw material for medicines. PROCESS:An aromatic hydrocarbon is reacted with 1,3-dichloro-2-methyl-propene at (1-3):1 molar ratio in the presence of an iron family metallic oxide, e.g. ferric chloride, nickelic chloride or cobaltic chloride, at 0-10 deg.C for 1-2hr to give the aimed compound of the formula. |
