PURPOSE:To produce the carrier tape adaptable to multiple kinds of small quantity production by a method wherein the part holding each item to be carried is arranged in the longer direction of a tape while the identification signals are recorded in the part corresponding to the holding part. CONSTITUTION:The picked up acceptable pellets 9 are fed to the holding part 7 of a tape 1 intermittently sent out by the holes 8 and the feeling pawls to be contained in a hole 6 and successively held by an adhesive layer 5. At this time, the identification signals interlocking with the feeding unit and corresponding to the pellets 9 are recorded in the holding part 7 of a magnetic recording tape 4 and adjoining position thereto. Therefore, e.g. when the pellets 9 are picked up in case of a connecting operation, a recorded signal in the tape 4 may be reproduced to identify its kind. In such a constitution, the pellets of multiple kinds may be carried on the same tape preventing any erroneous identification of the kinds from occurring producing the carrier tape adaptable to multiple kinds of small quantity production. |
