The device for collecting small fruit in a gathering machine, more specifically a grape harvesting machine consisting of a straddling tractor in the middle of which is mounted a suspended gantry holding the harvest beating devices, is characterised in that the gantry 1 holds, by means of deformable rings 7 a suspended assembly consisting of two rectangular frames 9 joined in some suitable way to each other by longitudinal lower boxes 16 containing, on the one hand, endless transverse belts 20 which raise the harvested products to bucket conveyors 23 and holding, on the other hand, also in the middle of the machine, two belts 18 consisting of separate symmetrical elastic elements inclined at approximately 45 DEG and in contact with each other at their upper lips so as form an inverted V-shaped receptacle which collects the harvest and passes it to the endless belt conveyors 20. <IMAGE>
