PURPOSE:To obtain a pellet preparing device that needs no wide installing space and can move the whole device easily by a method wherein a cooling tank and a cutter are mounted on a unitary body with an extruder and the extruding direction of a die is reversed to turn, cool and cut molten plastic material. CONSTITUTION:The driving device 9 of an extruder 1 is started and the heater is set by a temperature adjusting device 8 at a prescribed temperature. When plastic material that was crushed in advance is loaded into a hopper 5, it is melted by the heater arranged around a cylinder 6 and extruded by feeding pressure of a screw from the die toward the vertical direction in the form of two strands. The extruded material passes under a take-up roll 13 in a cooling tank 2 equipped beneath a die 7 or U-turns, passes through the inner portion of the cooling tank 2 and is taken up from a take-up roll 14. This material is guided to a cutter 3. When a drive motor 17 has been driven, plastic material in the form of a strand is cut into pieces in the form of a small cylinder with a diameter 2-3mm. to form pellets and falls downwards. |
