PURPOSE:To remove suspended matter with good efficiency by constituting a titled removing device of a freely liftable hopper that faces a pan for molten iron, a hot air conduit which is freely rotatably supported therein and injects hot air to the surface of the molten iron in the pan, a rotating mechanism which applies horizontal rotating force thereon and a lifting mechanism for the hopper. CONSTITUTION:A lifting mechanism 40 is operated to lower a wire rope 41. When the bosh part 11 of a hopper 10 descends and the inside circumferential part of the open edge at the bottom end contacts with the top marginal circumferential part of a pan A for molten iron, the operation of the mechanism 40 is stopped. Hot air is forced into a hot air conduit 20 and a rotating mechanism 30 is operated to rotate the conduit 20 horizontally. At the same time, a blower 81 is operated to suck the air in the hopper 10, then the suspended matter C on the surface of the molten iron B is whirled upward by the hot air injected from a nozzle 22. The whirled up matter C passes the pipe part 12 of the hopper 10 and is sucked away through an end part 14 into a recovering device II for the suspended matter. |
