Components of liquid crystals are I and nematic or menatogenic material selected from azo-benzene, azo-oxy benzene biphenyl, benzylidene derivatives, benzoic acid phenyl, phenyl cyclohexane, stylbene possible to halogenate, diphenyl acetylene derivatives, diphenyl nitrone or substituted formic acid. I is cyclohexyl cyclohexane; where X =-R, -OR or -O-CO-R, and R=C1-12 alkyl. (I) is prepared through conventional synthesis of compound (II) from trans-R-cyclohexyl benzoic acid (III) and trans-trans-4-R- cyclohexyl cyclohexane-4'-carboxylic acid (IV).
