PURPOSE:To join quickly flume pipes, etc. and prevent positively water leakage from them by supplying current to seal a sealed portion after the seal portion is loaded with a packing material having a heat melted type of synthetic rubber system sealing material containing a conductive exothermic body attached to both surfaces of a foamed synthetic rubber. CONSTITUTION:A hot melt packing material 4 having a heat melted type of synthetic rubber system sealing material 1 containing a conductive exothermic body 2 attached to both surfaces of a foamed synthetic rubber body 3 is temporarily placed between seal portions 8A, 9A in a joint of flume pipes 8, 9 which are mechanically joined with each other. Next, current is supplied to the conductive exothermic body 2 placed in the sealing material 1 of the hot melt packing material 4 to produce heat which softens and melts the hot melt packing material 4 so that said material 4 adapts itself to irregularities on the concrete surface of the joint of flume pipes 8, 9 and positively firmly adheres to same. |
