LASER OUTPUT ABSORBING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To make a device small in size by providing an apprximately conical reflector which reflects an incident laser beam in the circumferential direction and an absorber which receives and absorbs the laser beam reflected by this reflector. CONSTITUTION:The reflective face of a refelector 7 is constituted into a surface of second degree which is projected in the direction of an incident laser beam 1 and is so formed that the apex is placed in the center of the laser beam 1 and the outside circumferential side of the laser beam 1 is made incident to this surface at an incidence angle of 60 deg.. The energy of the laser beam reflected by this reflector 7 is absorbed by an absorber 2 and is subjected to heat exchange with cooling water flowed in a cooling jacket 4. Thus, the cooling device is used effectively and is made small in size.
