A movement transforming mechanism by means of which a rotative movement may be transformed into a reciprocating movement or vice versa, consisting of a drive housing 1 and a rerouting housing 2, between which a chain or toothed belt 11 is running, and between which two rods 12, 13 are mounted, on which a carriage 4 is displaceable back and forth. The carriage 4 contains a rotatable check wheel 20 with three toothed segments arranged at angles of 120 degrees relative to each other, each with at least three teeth 23 arranged such that one toothed segment 22 will not disengage one moving part of the toothed belt 11 before the next toothed segment has engaged the opposite moving part of the toothed belt 11, and where the check wheel 20 is blocked in both directions of two swingable and spring-loaded pawls 25, 26. The carriage 4 is constructed with a displaceable slide 34 interacting with protruding pins 33 on the pawls 25, 26, and lifting the blocking pawl 25 or 26 when displaced, such that the check wheel 20 will rotate and get into engagement with the opposite moving part of the toothed belt 11 and become locked in this position by the other pawl 26 or 25. The device contains a disengaging disc 39 interacting with lifting rollers 43, 44 for the pawls 25, 26, and when rotated, lifting both pawls 25, 26 and allowing the check wheel 20 to rotate freely with the carriage 4 at a standstill. <IMAGE> |
