PURPOSE:To improve combustibility of air-fuel mixture, by mixing air and fuel more perfectly by connecting a pulsating high-voltage power source and ignition plugs via high resistances and imparting oscillating electric force to the air- fuel mixture. CONSTITUTION:A pulsating high-voltage power source 3 and center electrodes of ignition plugs disposed in combustion chambers of a gasoline engine are connected respectively via high resistances 4 which are provided one for each ignition plug 2 and a distributor 1. Here, if setting such that the voltage of power source 3 is 15,000V, the frequency of oscillation is 600Herz and the value of said high resistances 4 is 16Mohm, an extremely preferable mixing effect can be obtained. By employing such a method, it is enabled to improve the combustibility of air-fuel mixture and to increase the output torque of the engine. |
