PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vanadium solid salt battery having a good charge and discharge performance in which the resistance on the ion transport of an ion-exchange membrane does not increase when the ion-exchange membrane is made thin.SOLUTION: A vanadium solid salt battery 1 includes the electrode unit 5 of a negative electrode where an electrode material 50, containing vanadium ions or an active material containing ions containing vanadium, is provided on a conductive material 51 via a coating film 52, and the electrode unit 6 of a positive electrode where an electrode material 60, containing vanadium ions or an active material containing ions containing vanadium, is provided on a conductive material 61 via a coating film 62. A water-retaining membrane 55 is provided on the surface of the electrode material 50 of the electrode unit 5, an ion-exchange membrane 56 is provided on the surface of the water-retaining membrane 55, and the electrode materials 50 and 60 are facing while sandwiching the ion-exchange membrane 56.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
