PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium composite metal oxide used for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of enhancing discharge capacity and initial Coulomb efficiency at an upper limit voltage higher than that conventionally used.SOLUTION: A lithium composite metal oxide includes Li, Ni and Mn, and has a layered structure. The lithium composite metal oxide has a diffraction peak within a range of 2θ=20.8±1° in a powder X-ray diffraction pattern obtained by powder X-ray diffraction measurement using a Cu-Kα ray, a BET specific surface area of 6 m/g-30 m/g, and an average particle diameter of 0.1-10 μm when measured by a laser diffraction scattering method.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
