PURPOSE:To discharge recovered toner smoothly without falling the toner even when an upper unit is slanted and opened in case of a jam, by specifying the rotating speed, radius, and pitch of a screw in some relation. CONSTITUTION:Toner remaining on a photosensitive body belt 8 after a toner image is transferred to transfer paper 19 by a transfer charger 17 is removed by a cleaning roll 10, collected in the toner receiver 9 of a toner conveyor 7, and then discharged by a spiral screw 6 provided therein. The relation among the recovering speed V of the toner to the toner receiver 9, and the radius (r), number of rotation N, and pitch P of the screw is specified as shown by an inequality, so that the amount of the toner staying in the toner receiver 9 never exceeds the specific value where the toner overflows the screw to a lower part when the upper unit 22 is slanted. |
