PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoretic particle increased in a threshold voltage, which is a voltage at which a movement begins by a high electric field.SOLUTION: An electrophoretic particle (a particle group thereof 34) contains: a core material particle formed of a composition containing a resin, a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound having any one of an imino group, a methylol group and an alkoxymethyl group in the molecule and a heterocyclic ring having a nitrogen atom, and a coloring agent; and a covering layer covering a surface of the core material particle, where the covering layer is formed of a composition containing a resin having a dispersion medium-philic part soluble in a dispersion medium in which the electrophoretic particles are dispersed and a dispersion medium-phobic part insoluble in the dispersion medium in which the electrophoretic particles are dispersed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
