PURPOSE:To operate exhaust brake effectively, by providing an operational-condition detecting means in a vehicle equipped with exhaust brake, and operating a display section through detection of conditions for operating the exhaust brake and conditions for causing shift-down of a transmission. CONSTITUTION:A control unit 3 is furnished with output signals of a load sensor 1A and a switch sensor 1D in an operational-condition detecting section 1 provided in a vehicle equipped with exhaust brake. In case of no-load operation of an engine and in case that the exhaust brake is not in operation, an exhaust- brake switch operation indicating lamp is lighted by a switch judging means 3B. In case that the exhaust brake is in operation, on the other hand, the vehicle speed and the engine speed are calculated from the output signals of a vehicle- speed sensor 1B and an engine-speed sensor IC, and the gear position is calculated from the above two signals. Here, if it is judged that overspeed rotation of the engine is not caused by shift-down of a transmission, a shift-down instructing lamp 2B is lighted by a judging means 3F. |
