PURPOSE:To obtain a paper covered wire whose mechanical strength is not reduced even if it is divided into thin strand conductors at a low cost by a method wherein a plurlity of enameled flat type conductors and a plurality of bare flat type conductors are coated by a solid adhesive of thermoplastic or thermosetting resin and are laid in parallel one after another and bundled into a solid body and wrapped by insulating paper. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of enameled rectangular conductor, which are coated by a solid adhesive 3 which is melted and makes the conductors adhere each other when cooled and is composed of a thermoplastic adhesive such as polyamide or phenoxy or a thermosetting adhesive such as B stage phenol resin or urethane resin whose reaction is blocked, and a plurality of bare flat type conductors coated by the same solid adhesive 3 are piled one after another and united into a solid body and wrapped by insulating paper and moreover adhesive paper is wound over the insulating paper. With this constitution, the mechanical strength of the coil is improved. |
