There is provided a strip or web-like pliable laminated body made of rubber or rubber-like elastomeric material having metal reinforcing plies, e.g. a conveyor belt reinforced with steel wires, embedded therein and extending substantially longitudinally therethrough, in which the metal reinforcing plies (4) are coated with a flowable anti-corrosion agent (5), said agent comprising a component of an elastomeric material mixture, exemplified anti-corrosion agents being paraffins or chlorinated paraffins, naphtha based mineral oils and organic esters or ethers. <IMAGE> |
