PURPOSE:To give accesses to memory chips of plural memory modules in a simple and quick way by forming a comparator with combination of a decoder and a switch and using a switch to a deciding unit. CONSTITUTION:A high order bit 5 of an address is decoded by a decoder 18, and a corresponding switch 19 is closed. Then a selected memory module activating signal is delivered with no use of a comparator. This activating signal is impressed to a decoder 8 of a selected memory module, and the decode is decided for an intermediate bit 10 of the address. Then a memory chip 17 of a memory module is designated via a switch 20 and an OR gate 15. In such a constitution having no need for production of an address setting signal for each memory module and production of a deciding signal for each chip, the accesses can be given simply and quickly to memory chips in plural same memory modules. |
