PURPOSE:To remove punch roll formed on the thread package quickly, surely and automatically by a method wherein the thread on the outer peripheral surface of the package is sucked and held by the suction port of a suction device, thereafter, the suction port is retreated by deprive a predetermined amount of top thread. CONSTITUTION:A suction pipe 25 is rotated by the driving of a motor 35 through timing pulleys 37, 33 and the suction port 28' of a mouth piece 28 is rotated along the part of punch roll B by several turns per several seconds to suck and hold the end of the thread at the part of the punch roll B or the vicinity thereof by the suction port 28'. Subsequently, the suction pipe 25 is retreaded and is continued to effect the sucking action at this place for a predetermined period of time to remove the part of the punch roll B. Therefore, a solenoid wave is closed to cut the supply of compressed air for operation and finish the sucking of the thread, subsequently, a conveyor 1 is started to move the fully wound package P on a tray 2 under a condition that the suction device 10 and the thread Y are connected, then, the thread Y is cut by a heater 44. |
