This description supplements the French patent application No. 80,24392 and the certificate of addition application No. 80,25142 by the same inventor, relating to a dust-catching protector arranged on the dividing cutter to the rear of circular saw blades. Fastening jaws 8 and 8a and an adjustable stop 12 ensure horizontal holding parallel to the sawing table. Adjustable and independent protecting flanges for the extension 11 of the lateral sides facilitate the catching of dust thrown to the back of the blade. These engage in absorption and thrust openings 14 and 14a in order to be channelled by means of a section 15, 16, 20 towards an upper ejection corridor 23. The dusty air thrown round the front of the blade 19a onto the sawing component is deflected through a grid 21b by a flexible apron towards the aforementioned upper ejection corridor 23. A separation screen 22 for the two functions is situated above the grid. This dust-catching protector may also be fixed above the dividing cutter and comprise a second apron for dust ejected to the rear of the blade. <IMAGE>
