PURPOSE:To prevent the failure of foregetting of sorter mode setting to improve the operability by setting automatically the sorter mode when setting of an original to an original automatic feeding device is detected. CONSTITUTION:When an original 5 is set onto an original tray 4, it is detected by a sensor 9; and by this detection output, an ADF display part 21 in an operation part 17 is lit under the control of a CPU, and the sorter mode using a sorter 3 is set automatically to light sorter mode display part 29. At this time, a deflecting pawl 16 is so switched that a paper ejecting path 14 is effective because the sorter mode is set. Consequently, when only display contents in the operation part 17 are confirmed and a print button 25 is depressed to start the copying operation, processings are performed in the sorter mode, and thus, the failure of foregetting of sorter mode setting is prevented. |
