发明名称 MANIFOLD SEALING PROCESS OF FUEL BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent gas leakage while improving the sealing property between a battery stack and a manifold by making raw rubber to cause crosslinking reaction for hardening due to a temperature rise of the battery stack. CONSTITUTION:A frame-like sealing material 90 made of fluorine raw rubber containing a crosslinking agent and having thickness of 3mm. is fixed by a bolt 10 screwing the upper-and-lower fixing flanges of a manifold to the stack upper- and-lower end plates 6. In a state in which an exhaust port and an intake port of the air supply route are closed, the air heated by a heater is made to circulate in the battery stack 1 by a blower in order to raise the temperature up to about 140 deg.C. After raising the temperature up to 140 deg.C, the battery is made immediately to operate so as to be heated up to 160-180 deg.C by its reaction heat fore being able to harden raw rubber in a relatively short time.
