A device for shredding goods comprises two interworking, rotating, essentially parallel bodies (1, 2) consisting of screws, which while shredding the goods between their threads obtain mutually opposite feed directions either by the two screws having the same thread direction and being driven in opposite direction of rotation or by the two screws having opposing thread direction and being driven in the same direction of rotation. The two screws are positioned in such a way that their threads run free of each other and the device is designed so that the shredded goods pass down through the space between the two interworking screws. Shredding bodies in the form of projections (4, 6, 14) are situated between the thread flanks of each screw and are shaped like bridges extending between adjacent thread flanks.<IMAGE> |
