COOLING DEVICE FOR EDDY CURRENT FLAW DETECTION PROBE

PURPOSE:To prevent a probe from being burnt by heat from a test material even in case of a power failure by setting the 3rd directional changeover valve so that a cooling water tank and an air receiver communicate with each other. CONSTITUTION:The cooling water tank 5 and air receiver 13 are linked together through an air pipe 23. A shut-off valve 25 for air equipped with a double-acting air cylinder 26 is fitted to the air pipe 23. The double-acting air cylinder 26 is fitted to the air receiver 13 through the 2nd direction changeover valve 28, and this changeover valve 28 consists of a double solenoid 4-port 2-position valve. The 3rd direction changeover valve 33 is fitted between the cooling water tank 5 and shut-off valve 25 for air, and this changeover valve 33 is composed of a spring offset electromagnetic type 4-port 2-position valve. The output sides of probe cases 2 and 3 are linked to an air release tank 42 through an output pipe 40, and the air release tank 42 is linked to the cooling water tank 5 through a return pipe 43.
