PURPOSE:To remove accumulated matters in a drain groove at the time of fuel filter exchange by screwing and holding a fuel filter unit to be also used for a suction chamber at the top face of an out chamber of a diaphragm type fuel pump. CONSTITUTION:Fuel introduced from a suction pipe 37 is conducted through a hole 39 of a connector 38 and pass-holes 34 and 35 into a filter paper 22, while alien matters and water in the fuel are collected in a drain groove 33. After passing through the paper filter 22, the fuel is conducted through a suction port 29 to expand a suction valve 28, and passes through a penetration hole 31 into a pump chamber 8. Furthermore, it passes through a discharge port 12 to expand a discharge valve 10, and is sent to a carburetor via a discharge chamber 7 and a discharge pipe 43. The fuel filter unit 18 is exchanged by rotating a rib 40 of an upper casing 19 and releasing a bolt nut joint. Since accumulated drains are removed at the time of this filter exchange, no special cleaning is needed. |
