PURPOSE:To prevent defective fixing or offsetting by using a polymer obtd. by bringing a tertiary amine-contg. polymer into reaction with a multifunctional anionic compd. as a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:The polymer used as a binder resin contains quaternary ammonium ion in a high polymer chain and contains further a multifunctional anionic compd. forming a counter ion for said ion and therefore said polymer yields an extremely outstanding toner in terms of viscoelastic behavior, interfacial effect, electrostatic charge controllability, electrostatic charge stability under a highly moist condition, etc. A polymer of an addition polymerizable tertiary amino group-contg. monomer or a copolymer with other polymerizable monomer is used for the tertiary amine-contg. polymer and said polymer has preferably 10,000- 80,000 weight average mol.wt. The multifunctional anionic compd. is enumerated by a polycarboxylic acid, for example, polysulfonic acid compd. such as oxalic acid, malonic acid, p-benzene disulfonic acid, 1,3,5-benzene trisulfonic acid or the like. |
