PURPOSE:To reduce the thermal displacement of a machine tool and improve the accuracy by measuring the air temp., oil temp., and the temp. of the machine tool body and adjusting the oil temp. CONSTITUTION:Each detection temp. TH1, TH2, and TH3 of temp. detectors 18-20 is calculated from a small-sized computer 21, and the operation or stop of a pump 16 and the cooling and heating of a heat exchanger 17 are controlled by the computer 21 so that the sum of the air temp. TH2 and the temp. TH3 of a machine tool body is set within a certain temp. difference DELTAT in comparison with the oil temp. TH1. In other words, the computer 21 executes calculation from the detected values of temp. TH1, TH2, and TH3 at a certain time, and the left side (TH2+TH3)/2 of the calculation equation is compared with the right side (TH1+DELTAT), and when the left side is larger than the right side, the heat exchanger 17 carries-out cooling operation, and when the left side is smaller than the right side, the heat exchanger 17 carries-out heating operation, and when the both sides are equal, the pump 16 is stopped to control the necessary oil temp. Therefore, the accuracy is improved, and the amount of thermal displacement is reduced. |
