PURPOSE:To unitarily control entire control information by a channel device by packagedly controlling it in correspondence to device numbers and transferring control information which is necessary at this time from a subchannel in correspondence to each stage of input/output processing. CONSTITUTION:The channel device 2 is connected to the central processing unit 1 and the input/output processor 3 is connected to the channel device 2. Various different kinds of devices, i.e., the magnetic tape device and magnetic disk device are connected to the input/output processor 3. The channel device 2 generally controls information in correspondence to device numbers, transfers necessary control information at this time from the subchannel 23 inside the channel device 2 in correspondence to each stage of input/output processing, and set the control information to the specific register inside the input/output processor 3. |
