PURPOSE:To lead out a certain length of wire member safely and mechanically from a winding drum by bringing the winding starting part of a wire member in contact with the collar of an auxiliary winding drum with pressure. CONSTITUTION:A clamp 36 which holds an already led-out winding starting part 1a of a wire member, is brought in contact with the collar of an auxiliary winding drum 34 with pressure. When an auxiliary rotation driving source is driven, certain turns of a wire member 1 is wound around the barrel part of the auxiliary winding drum 34. After a required length of wire member 1 is wound on the auxiliary winding drum 34, winding onto a winding drum 14 is started. When the clamp 36 and a supporting shaft 16 are retracted from the winding drum 14 after winding is over, the part of the wire member which is outwardly wound around the auxiliary winding drum 34 is left around supporting rods 42 through the groove of the auxiliary drum. |
