PURPOSE:To conduct the changeover of an active/spare system at any time by applying division and a multiplex to a service channel signal via a transmission signal processing section provided with a prescribed active system so as to eliminate the need for the provision of a multiplex converting section and simplify the constitution. CONSTITUTION:A transmission terminal station is provided with a spare system comprising a spare system transmission code section 5 and a transmission switching section 7 and an active M system comprising transmission code processing sections 6-1-M having in common the multiplex function to the service channel. Digital multiplex signals B-1-M are inputted to the processing sections 6-1-M and also service channel signals C-1-M. The processing sections 6-1-M multiplex the signals C-1-M and transmit the result to a modulator and also to a switching section 7 provided with the spare system. Then the service channel signals C1-M are applied with division and multiplexing by the processing sections 6-1-M and the changeover of the active/spare system is conducted simply at any time without the provision of any multiplex conversion section. |
