1. A buckle for safety belts in passenger carrying vehicles ; the buckle includes a housing means (10) and a tongue (12) which can be unserted into an inseriton opening (18) of said housing means (10) ; said tongue can be locked in said housing means (10) by at least one latching member (14) and is acted upon by a springloaded ejector (22), which is held by one arresting mechanism (55) in a position closing-off the insertion opening (18) when said tongue (12) is not inserted therein, that position being releasable by inserting the tongue (12), characterized in that the arresting mechanism (55) comprises at least one spring element (30, 31) which for arresting said ejector (22) in his foremost position is adapted to extend into the path in which said ejector (22) is movable. |
