PURPOSE:To restore the duplicated state of a device address by transmitting an alarm telegraphic message to a duplicated device address from a high-order device detected the duplication of the device address and allowing each low-order device to generate alarm when the device address included in the alarm telegraphic message is coincident with the set address of the own device. CONSTITUTION:A terminal controller has a device address table 10 in which an address DAi to make polling is registered, device addresses DA1, DA2... are read sequentially via a polling control section 9 and feeds them as polling destination data PD to a telegraphic message editing section 14. The telegraphic message editing section 14 generates and edits a polling telegraphic message based on the polling destination data PD, transmits the data to a line 1 via a transmission buffer 6 and a transmission/reception section 4 and the polling telegraphic message transmitted to the line 1 is received once at each terminal device. Further, when a response error occurs to a specific device address, for example, a response detection section 7 supplies an alarm telegraphic message transmission command to the telegraphic message editing section 14, which edits the alarm telegraphic message to the device address and transmits the result to the line 1 via the transmission/reception section 1. |
