<p>NEW MATERIAL:[3S(Z),4R]-3-[2-( Amino-4-thiazolyl )-2-( 1-carboxy-1-methyl-ethoxyimino)acetylamino]-4-( 2-methoxyethyl )-2-oxo-1-azetidine-sufonic acid of formula I or its salt. USE:A remedy for bacteriosis such as respiratory infection, uninary-tract infection, purulent disease, etc., exhibiting especially excellent antibacterial activity against Gram-negative bacteria and having beta-lactamase-inhibiting action. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be prepared by removing the protecting groups from the compound of formula V or its salt obtained either by the sulfonation of the compound of formula II (R<1> is amino-protecting group; R<2> is carboxyl-protecting group) or by reacting the compound of formula III or its salt with the compound of formula IV or its reactive derivative.</p> |
