Closure cap for drink cans

A closure cap (1) for drink cans, which have a tear-off opening (5) in their can lid, has a flat cap bottom (8) which is surrounded by a peripheral, approximately cylindrical edge strip (10). The edge strip (10) allows secure, rotatable attachment to a drink can. Provided in the cap bottom (8) is a drinking opening (9) which is slightly smaller than the tear-off opening (5) and which can be moved to be congruent with the tear-off opening (5) by rotating the closure cap (1). To close the drink can, the closure cap (8) is rotated. Mounted at the side of the closure cap (8) is an insertion tab (14) with an insertion slot (15) in which the opening tab (6) of the drink can can be inserted. The closure cap allows opened drink cans to be closed and thus prevents the entry of dirt and insects. The possibility of mounting the tear-off tab (6) on the closure cap (1) reduces the risk of injury by tear-off tabs (6) which are thrown away in a negligent manner. <IMAGE>
