PURPOSE:To attain to enhance mass productivity by forming an embossed pattern to the surface of a dial in an extremely simple manner, by vapor depositing gold onto a sheet like member, having uneveness, adhered to a base board such as sand paper or a net. CONSTITUTION:The titled dial consists of a base plate 1 comprising plastic or a metal, sand paper 2 adhered to the surface of the base phate 1 and a metal layer 3 comprising gold vapor deposited to the surface of the sand paper 2. A large number of recessed and protruded parts are formed to the surface of the sand paper 2 and the metal layer 3 is vapor deposited along the uneveness of the sand paper 2. Therefore, a large number of recessed and protruded parts are formed to the surface of the metal layer 3 similarily with the sand paper 2. This metal layer 3 is provided in order to enhance the decorative property of the surface of the dial and, at the same time, has a function for reinforcing the sand paper 2. Therefore, the metal layer 3 is formed to the surface of the sand paper 2 prior to adhering the sand paper 2 to the base board 1 to reinforce said sand paper 2 to make it possible to facilitate work. In addition, by forming a transparent synthetic resin layer to the surface of the metal layer 3, the surface of the dial can be protected and the surface gloss thereof can be increased. |
