PURPOSE:To reduce the cost and improve the reliability of a fluorescent character display tube by forming an anode and a grid by metallic films. CONSTITUTION:An anode 2, a grid electrode 9 and a feeder 10 are installed on the same plane by sputtering or vapordeposition. An anode segment 8 and a grid electrode 9 are formed on the same surface so as to simplify the structure of the electrode and shorten the manufacturing process thereby widely reducing the cost. In addition, since no insulating glass layers are required and there are no three-dimensionally intersecting areas, the reliability is also widely improved. |
