<p>Pallet for manually or automatically transporting workpieces between processing stations has a flat load-carrying surface with an adhesive coating, pref. a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating. The substrate for the adhesive coating may be a hard PVC layer, or an inherently resilient material. The use of a pressure-sensitive adhesive allows permanent adhesive action, without damage to the adhesive by tearing off the workpieces and without leaving traces of adhesive on the workpieces. The use of PVC as the substrate allows permanent bonding to the adhesive, and the use of inherently resilient material as the substrate is highly suitable for workpieces with small or sharply curved supporting surfaces, for increasing the surface area of contact.</p> |
