A shock absorbing roof anchor for a fall restraint. The roof anchor includes an energy absorbing base part configured to be coupled to a surface, and lanyard anchor means configured to connect a lanyard to the energy absorbing base part. The energy absorbing base part is configured to deflect in response to shock loading imposed on the lanyard anchor means. The shock absorbing roof anchor further includes a sheet of flexible covering material connected to the base part. The sheet of flexible covering material is configured to encase the base part when the shock absorbing roof anchor is mounted on a surface. |
