PURPOSE:To form an unfogged sharp image by forming an image forming layer composed of a specified metal compds., an oil-soluble development inhibitor, and a hydrophilic binder. CONSTITUTION:A base 2 is coated with an image forming layer composed of a metal compd. capable of forming metal development nuclei when being reduced, an oil-soluble development inhibitor made of an oil-soluble diazo or azido compd., and a hydrophilic binder, and said metal compd. and said inhibitor are dissolved or dispersed into said binder. As said binder, natural polymers, such as gelatin and casein, carboxymethyl cellulose, maleic anhydride copolymer, etc. are usable. Said inhibitor to be incorporated in the layer 3 is as follows: Oil- soluble diazo or azido compd, their derivs., e.g., borofluoride of oil-soluble diazo compd., or a condensation compd. of said borofluoride with formaldehyde, or oil- soluble azido compd. |
