A water trap for sewage, consisting of an intake chamber (1) and in addition, a removable chamber communicating with the sewage chamber in accordance with the U-bend theory (2), it consists of an intake chamber and a vertically moving hollow casing, showing a central opening at the bottom for the reception of water from the intake chamber. The intake chamber (1) leads into the sewage chamber (2) via a designated water level in the water trap. A circular overflow (14) is arranged to work together with a vertical free moving rear vent (15) and in the event of excess pressure in the sewage system the overflow will shut tightly, thereby preventing the reverse flow of bad air, discharge and scum. The sewage chamber is further equipped with a backflow prevention device serving as an aspirated vent (21), that opens and lets air into the sewage chamber as soon as the pressure in this is higher than the pressure at the corresponding height of that formed in the trap.<IMAGE> |
